It's not even a question who the best conference is. Sunbelt. No but really SEC will be top dogs for many years to come
It's the WAC I mean the Big ??. Sorry I get them confused so much
Let me make a prediction...
Some asshat, burton or jobbaketch perhaps, will start an article which will thread out saying how can the SEC be any good if the Aggies are showing so well. These subhumans are too easy to figure out...just like most progressive liberals
" Manziel is “a good kid, an honest kid. He has his heart in the right place.”
Chancellor, Texas A&M
I cannot say i approve of this train of thought fellow Ags, that "The SEC is overrated."
To say such things would cheapen the accomplishments of our players and our coaches; that's not something i am willing to do.
We are painfully thin at certain positions of critical need along the defense. Our players were mentally drained after last year and soft.
This new staff has re-conditioned our football team, physically AND mentally. They've taught our players discipline, how to overcome adversity, and ultimately what it's like to win.
I would instead say that our team has worked hard to prove that we belong in our new home conference, that way we don't minimize the accomplishments of ourselves or others.

Woah kasl he was joking, please breath
lol, ok, i'm breathing... i'm breathing...
it's just so good to shut our critics up with wins in College Footballs toughest division...
Am i right?
These are some great times my brother
They are a tad bit overrated. That's how I knew you guys would win 8 or 9 games. Ppl looked at me as if I was crazy (even Aggies). I told them you have Bama, LSU and everyone else. Another thing about SEC..
When Florida ran the conference they were spread.
Cam Newton?? Spread.
Anytime someone runs a decent spread in the SEC, they are a top team. Anyone with any real sense should have saw this coming.
I don't buy into the ESPN/CBS hype about the SEC.. You guys will be ok.
Good luck against Bama. Spread em out and make those 240 lb LB get tired.
Brenhams next star Darrion Johnson Class of 2014
Downvotes for sarcasm thanks buddy!
At least the SEC teams will be 2-7 in bowl games. I mean that's good right?
How's Darrion doing this year brenhamhorn? Honestly curious as I haven't heard how his season (or Brenham's) is going.
With 4 SEC schools looking for coaches this off season, I could see more spread coming into the SEC very soon.
Imagine, the conference with the best defenses AND the best offenses? Scary.
Oh, and I'd like to know what conference is better than the SEC if the SEC is overrated this year.
It's a joke I'm trying to get my agenda across
I was referring to horn that said the SEC was overrated. I know you were joking.
What other conference can come close to matching Bama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, South Carolina and Texas A&M? I don't see one out there today.
Exactly. SEC has 4 teams in the top 10, another at 11, us at 14/15, and MSU at 23ish. Half the league is ranked, no other conference has 7 teams in the top 25.
He's doing Amazing actually. Still trying to give up his 4th catch on the season ;-). He's playing safety this year due to injuries. The safety we play is a lot different. He holds WRs like a CB, but 10-12 yds off the ball so he can watch the run mainly since he's the SS. He has like 15TDs this year even after missing the first 2 games. He's has been the best player on the field every game this year.
He has 3 PR TDs, which is amazing the way punters punt away from him. Punters give him 1 maybe 2 punts that he can actually return per game. When he gets it, he breaks it.
On offense he avgs 7 ypc. He avgs 10 carries per game. He is never really allowed to get in a rhythm really and he still has that good avg. 3rd and 16, bring Darrion in. Like last week he had 9 carries for 110 yds.
He's the best player in 2014 this year, and that's after missing 2 A-Days and 2 games worth of practices.. 6 weeks of practice and gelling with the team.
Thanks for the update. If our coaches want him, then I'd love to have him
Miss St being ranked is a joke. Scar at 11 is a joke. That's just SEC love. SEC is the best conference, but not by much. Big 12 will pull even or overtake SEC next year. OK ST will be back next year and TCU also..
So you're saying 2 of the 7 don't belong that high? I guess you would say MSU doesn't belong, USCe should be lower, is that a fair assumption? If so, we STILL have more ranked teams than any other conference, and we STILL have 4 teams in the top 10.
And sure, TCU will be great after they kick their drug habit (HA!), and I'm sure Okie lite will match their best ever record and go 11-1 with a loss to Iowa State to keep them out of the national championship.
I do love how you said those two schools would be up, but didn't pump texas. Why's that? Will they still be a young team next year? And the year after that? And the year after that? And the year after that?
Ok St? TCU?
I need some logic on these two???
This response is a standard one coming from sips. The sad thing is they say it and they say it again and again, but anyone listening who is not them immediately disregards it and realize they're really losing it. Good times
The only Big 12 team that is better than SCar is KSU. OU might be better. Outside of those two teams, there are no Big 12 teams better than the SEC's 6th best team.
That's all conjecture. At this point Miss St. has only lost 2 games and both were to top 15 teams. What's very telling is that you have to talk about next year, this year.
It's really easy to look ahead and say how great those teams will be. Even my fellow Ags do it. There is a thread right now talking about how great such and such recruit will be in this system when we all know teams on paper don't mean shit (you of all people should know about that).
Rankings are crap IMO. The best teams don't play each other week in and week out. The bowl season is when the rubber meets the road. Come back in January and tell me the SEC is overrated.
I don't get why people think TCU is going to be good?... Think Houston, they went undefeated last year with Sumlin but even with Sumlin in the Big 12 they would have subpar athletes... They still have to recruit against the same people and without a different pitch from them(big 12), honestly why would any recruit pick TCU over OU or OkSt, I mean even if you live in Dallas it's that far to go... They will be tech-esque competitive when they find a good QB and terrible when they don't but never will compete for the title when tu And OU load back up... And really it cracks me up bcuz without Collin Klein kstate might not even be in the top 25 so that's just going to make the big 12 even worse, they are a conference of mediocrity besides kstate right now
What a dumb comment... Top 3-5 SEC teams can beat ANYONE in the country. Yes that also includes Oregon. I cant say the same about any other conference. CMON MAN!!
