I was on board until they hashtagged the endzone. Now I hate it. #gay
I've also heard they are putting fake snow on the hedge
The funny part is that is gonna be what, like 80 on Saturday?

Piss on their #snowbowl @ #YellowSnowBowl
Is that how that works. I'm not the tweeting kind.

Ha. I just have no problem with it. They're celebrating an awesome bowl game experience -- not the win -- to welcome A&M to the SEC. I appreciate it.
I'm completely on board with this. To enhance this commemorative game, I plan on doing a countdown to midnight. I'm also going to sneak liquor into my house, just like I did at my friend's house on that fateful New Year's Eve.
I'm going to disagree with you here, and this is exactly what A&M needs from the SEC schools. They are excited to play us, are we to stuck up that it is not LSU or Bama to go with it and make it an exciting game. Come on, are we in the SEC West or not.
Did msu win the original snow bowl? If they lost would they make such a big deal?

Is that a high school stadium?
Well like I said, I think it's a big game and worth celebrating, but all the snow bowl stuff seems a little much. Again jerseys are awesome, but hashtags in the endzone?. I don't think anybody is denying that this is a massive massive game and that everybody should be excited.
Uh OK. Just saying maybe if they would have lost they probably wouldn't be making this snow bowl 2.0 thing.
That's cool. I give up.
I don't think people understand it's about appreciating an unbelievable game that night. Not about hyping this game or celebrating they won the Independence Bowl.
And that's fine. It's probably one of the five greatest football games I ever watched A&M play so I understand where they're coming from. It's the same for a lot of fans from MSU, obviously, and they're going to use this opportunity to build up their social media operation. Everyone should get used to it. You're going to see more of it in the future.
Are you saying that you think they will continue to bring this up for a while? Or are you saying that you think that A&M is going to embrace this too?
I could definitely be wrong here, but I don't see us making much of the snowbowl next year at Kyle. Again, I could be wrong. Don't think I will be on this one.

I'm saying you're going to see programs look for opportunities to build up their social media programs. Hence the #snowbowl hashtag in the endzone and everything else they are doing to promote the game.
Gotcha. That makes more sense.
Again, I really do get it, it was epic, but you don't think an endzone wide hashtag is overdoing it?
Normally the endzone has a #HAILSTATE hashtag, so this isn't new to them. Arkansas and Michigan are two others that have hastags on their fields.
Best post on the thread.
Love it. Their uni's are awesome, the hashtag is a genius touch. Two top 20 teams. It's GREAT marketing, IMO.
"Failure is my greatest fear. Yours is probably heights or spiders or some silly shit."
It wasn't like it was a BCS bowl, so I understand some head scratching. But I think it's a GREAT marketing move by MSU.
This times 1,000.
Boys, it's a TWITTER world. Better get used to seeing hashtags all over the place.
Aubrey -- I'm a little disappointed in you. I know you and Hamm hashtag 247 on tweets, as you should. Isn't that part of your marketing strategy?
You're just seeing that kicked up a notch.
I'm happy if they want to hype it up.
For me it was just another disappointing and forgetable A&M loss to another in a long line of bowls against SEC schools. Tradition: do enough to get bowl eligible, get matched against an SEC school, lose game (repeat).
Gawd, I'm glad Sumlin is here.
On another note of commonality between A&M and MSU is Coach Emory Bellard, who passed away last year after battling with ALS. It was nice that there was enough time to for his players and coaching colleagues to honor him properly and for him to publish his book "Wishbone Wisdom".
Mr. Bellard was credited with introducing the wishbone formation to college football, providing the framework for many of the great running teams of the 1970s.

I hate hashtags. #ihatehashtags
Don't let the size of the stadium fool ya! It will be loud and one of the more energized venue in the south. I know it doesn't seem possible but if you make the game you'll see it's a better atmosphere then you think it will be. #Hailstate
