Hearing alot how Manti Te'o only won his awards because of the deaths and people felt sorry for him, no one on here knows him personally and guarantee any university in America would take him, he won the awards so be it, I think he deserves the awards just as I feel Johnny deserves the Heisman.
He doesn't deserve them. Yeah most every team would take him; most every team would take Ryan Swope and that doesn't mean he's the best player in the country does it? He's been hyped up by the media, which is using emotional stories to get attention, including the deaths. He's damn good, but he's probably not even in the top 3 best defensive players in the country. He's a good player on an undefeated team, which should absolutely not guarantee you any award you want

I'm willing to listen to you if you're willing to explain how Te'o is better than Moore, Jarvis, Clowney, Mingo, and Monty.
If you were to say he was the best MLB, I could get behind that. You'd have a hard time fighting that.
If you were to say he was the best LB, I could lean that way too. I think you could argue Jarvis, but not powerfully over Te'o.
But to say he's the best lineman/Lb? Not even close. Everyone I just listed has a spot before Te'o is even in the conversation. Te'o is such a tweener that he's only got one good stat (his INTs). He's not even on the MAP of solo tackles. He's 59th in total tackles. He's not even the top LB in passes broken up. He's got less TFL's this year than Jarvis had against Florida. He's a run-stopper with ZERO force fumbles. He's a pass rusher with one sack. He was virtually no part of ND's biggest plays of the year.
Yet, he's the best defensive player in the nation?
I've given part of my case, what's yours?
“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
This is an internet forum.... this is where people can express their opinion and be totally upfront about it. If you can't handle it, I suggest looking for a new hobby.
lets just say we disagree on this
Teo seems like a great guy but i no way is he even close to being the best player in the country PERIOD
SEC SEC SEC!!!

No, I left rivals because their information is far behind Aubrey and Taylor's. I could care less what you think, about me though, because you are a bleeding vagina that never stops. Nobody likes you because you never contribute to anything. All you do is sit in your glass house and throw rocks.
OP... The truth of the matter IS Manti is getting tons of votes for off the field events rather than on the field. I would say that Clowney, Jarvis Jones, CJ Mosely, and the Safety from Fresno State are ALL better players than Manti Te'o...
If i was Kelly, i would be selling the chit out of, "Look kid, the reason Te'o got as much of the recognition as he did was because he played for Notre Dame... you should do the same"... Basic translation - coming to ND will inflate and overrate your actual ability...
Nm. I'm not going to argue this point. Waste of time.

If ND has one loss, he may have won the Butkis, but that's it.
I want to know who said Kirby Ennis should be all SEC.
OP, Teo won something like eight awards so far. He's the most decorated player for a single season in NCAA history and he's a finalist for the Heisman (which he'll be runner up for at worst). The media who votes for these things is basically saying he is the best player to ever play college football by giving him all of those awards. If you want to pretend like the circumstances in his life off the field played no part in their voting then that's fine, but by doing that you're basically agreeing that he had the finest season of anyone who has ever worn a college football uniform. A lot of deserving players watched him go accept award after award this week and I say those guys got robbed. They had this one opportunity in their lives to be recognized in this way and it was taken from them by this one guy, which really makes you have to believe the adversity he faced was the reason he won. He won these awards out of pity, and that's not why the awards exist. Is he good? Sure. Best ever? You're out of your mind. He may not have even been the best player on his own team!
