Not sure who would. Their schedule is a piece of cake after us. That would make trying to catch up to them really tough, and how that would suck to be stuck one game behind. Really have to have a no loss mentality next year. What a game that should be though.
Bama: Vtech (neutral), aTm, Colorado St. (home), Ole Miss (h), GA St (h), KY (a), AR (h), TN (h), LSU (h), MS St (a), Chattanooga (h), Auburn (a)

Lol....have looked at our schedule?
There are always teams that end up much better or worse that thought preseason.
I'm gonna go ahead and call it now... Ole Miss will be the team to watch out for next year
If we weren't in the SEC this year Ole Miss would be the "it" team (of sorts). Their improvement in the span of one year has been great.
From IH-35 to IH-10... what then?
Ole Miss is good. Aother pretty good example of how an imaginative and passionate coach can make bring a team upwards in a hurry these days. Think we play at Oxford again, so that should be a battle.
It will also be interesting to see how the abortion of a good chunk of LSU's jr class will impact the Tigers next year.
Agree with earlier posters. Ole Miss looks like they could finish with a really strong recruiting class and should be better than they were this year. To beat Bama, you have to attack them, so an fast passed Miss team would seem to have a chance. Other than that, I think it has to be LSU but only if (a) LSU can throw the fall well on them again (which I'm a little skeptical of), and (b) Miles isn't true to his own nature and make stupid play calls (also unlikely)
I'm going to hold off on Ole Miss right now. I've seen this picture for decades with them. They look great one season then BOOM, they go south the next.
Yes Bama's schedule in 2013 looks weak, and it may turn out that way, but in this league who is fine one year sometimes isn't so fine the next. We all have to play'em out and see who's who. AIN'T IT GRAND!

More like if they dont beat us, who will? Besides, one loss teams do go to the NC championship game. We shud be right there in the thick of it.
I was actually think about it earlier today. We were really lucky that freeze decided to get cute on 4th and 1 and gave us the gamel. Who knows how the season would of turned out if we left Oxford with a loss. Or the heisman
"I make Blake Munroe carry my bags wherever I go." - Taylor Hamm
I was thinking the exact same thing as they progressed really well as the season went on. The up side to their getting better will be to watch them stomp tu in Austin. tu has them as the third game on the schedule and follows with K State on week four...... it is extreamly likely that tu goes 2-2 through their first four games next season. I can't wait!
Even if Freeze had punted on 4th and 1, there was still plenty of time to score the winning TD. So I am not sure that that particular call cost Ole Miss the game.
We had just gone 99 yards in 3 plays on the prior drive and, even after we scored, there was still time for Ole Miss to drive the ball deep in our territory, have Hurd pick off their QB, and do a few plays of victory formation.
Hopefully, we won't have 6 TO's (including a muffed punt inside our 5 yard line) next year. If we do not have the TO's next year, we will roll them.
Hell, we had 6 TO's and they STILL lost. We win that game by 20+ points without them, and most of them were flukes and didn't happen the rest of the season, if I recall.
“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
Not punt but go for it under center with a qb sneak would have probably converted and put the game away. Instead he had Wallace 5 yards deep in shotgun and our defense got him in the back field
