Didn't Mack just give a speech on commits visiting?
Cut this piece of crap.
SEC SEC SEC!!!
It's only wrong when his commits do it.
We should allow him to keep his options open by dropping him.
We do not have to deal with this. Cut him.
Not really, KD Cannon and Davion Hall is about it. But who knows, I'm sure others will emerge in the next year.
I blame social media.
I don't know how I feel about this because I don't really know how good Jeffrey is.. but I feel like KD is not really going to entertain being an Aggie that seriously and we already lost Davion Hall. and if LSU wants Quinn bad enough, I think they'll get Quinn (I know he said a few weeks ago that A&M leads). Same with Speedy- maybe Noel Ellis's family can give him some rides to CS this fall, but his cousin/uncle is the head recruiter for LSU. He's gonig there. If Jeffrey is truly one of the top WRs in the state, we should try to keep him. Reestablishing a Lufkin pipeline might be a good idea too.. not sure who their new coach is since Outlaw passed, but I'm sure BJ Anderson has been working hard over there.
Obviously A&M's offense and exposure will attract some national guys (see LaRue, JaQuay, Tony Stevens, etc.), but we might not want to piss off Lufkin or any other Tx HS coaches by cutting Jeffrey loose THIS early. The kid probably shouldn't have committed so early, and the coaches probbably don't really consider him committed right now. As long as they made it clear to the kid, his family, and his coaches that if he's looking around, we will be looking around, then fine. I'll bet they keep recruiting him for a while and make sure he locks everything down after all the Jr days are over... he may attend some camps this summer and earn more offers from other programs, but he needs to be done with college visits before the summer, IMO. After that, yeah, if he's making visits, attending games next fall, etc., go get another WR. It won't be hard for A&M to find other WRs.

what about that Armanti Foreman kid that is already committed to 0U? He's from Texas City (long way from Norman)... can we just take him if we want him? Can we tell Jeffrey, if you're not committed, we're replacing you with this guy?
I'd have to imagine there would be some bad blood with Alton Dixon and Sumlin if we cut him loose. Hopefully he is just taking a trip with his friends and trying to get them some exposure.
If it ends up being something else then we will go national.
My view on this is Sumlin isn't going to deal with visits. The difference between him and Mack is that Mack is butthurt and will openly say your offer is taken away if you visit, but Sumlin simply goes out and keeps recruiting your position. The Lufkin coaches know this and have advised Jeffrey not to go. I mean look at 2013 class, I could be off base here, but could Joas questioning and visiting TCU have been a catalyst to try and bring in Daimler late? Even the wide receiver position, it always seemed like some were still talking to other schools or would question if another receiver jumped on board, so Sumlin kept recruiting playmakers.
On the other hand look at White. He has been solid as a rock, and we didn't even sniff another RB in that class. We were already solid at LB and DL so doesn't apply much. There is probably a lot more going on behind the scenes but seems to me to be the case at least. Mack gets whiny and pouts and Sumlin will smile over a home cooked meal and lay down the law, if he feels it's not being reciprocated, he will politely go and cover his bases looking at other prospects.
That said, Jeffrey goes, we find another one but there's no rush at that position in this class.
but we did sniff another RB in that class.. last spring/summer with White committed, we had Johnny Jefferson for a while, were recruiting Corian Webster and Keith Ford for a little while.. until we found out about the Tre Carson transfer at least. ...and then Sumlin mentioned in his press meeting on Wednesday that we could have gotten another RB, but he chose not to send his NLI to us... I think it was confirmed to be a FLa back that signed with ND.
I remember Jamal Jeffery back when he was named EJ Shankle.
“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
Eff that noise. Alton needs to get his shit together.
lol. good one!
seriously though, if Jeffrey has EJ's speed and much better hands, lock him down!
Spot on Hugh, spot on. Everyone gets treated the same if you want to establish the way its gonna be.
Your logic is boggling my mind
