The new communications building at Texas is the "Belo Center for New Media." Belo owns the Dallas Morning News and Channel 8 - ABC affiliate in Dallas.
Wow. Have a link on that?
You're going to have to give us more on that.
Here is a link and copied this from the Morning News article:
The project was funded in part by a $15 million gift from The Belo Foundation and philanthropists with ties to A.H. Belo Corporation, which owns The Dallas Morning News.
The majority of the gift — $12 million — is pledged from The Belo Foundation.
The balance was pledged by Robert W. Decherd, chairman, president and chief executive officer of A.H. Belo Corporation and his wife, Maureen H. Decherd, and the estate of former News publisher Jim Moroney Jr. and the Jim and Lynn Moroney Family Foundation.
The center is named in recognition of Col. Alfred Horatio Belo, the original owner of The News.
Decherd called the first day of classes “a signal day for the financial supporters of the Belo Center.”
“All of us are excited that the students who will have so much to do with the future of media and journalism are now able to benefit from this modern, innovative facility,” he said.
