i hope we get whitley because hampton committed to butter tooth
Considering we wouldn't let the kid commit to us when he wanted to I think well be perfectly fine...
sumlin didn't offer.
I think we offered but wouldn't accept commitment due to numbers. Only taking 3 LB's and we have Whitley ranked higher.
Once we rejected him, easy sell for Buttertooth.
Name one top flight LB from the bigXII conference the past five years.
It's hard. There aren't any really.
The bigXII is where LBs go to be marginalized or never heard from again.
Follow me on twitter @taylorhamm247
Chalk it up to the 3-4 scheme and who's role was a pass rushing specialist. That ain't anyone in the BigXII.
Mack is cleaning up with Sumlins scraps
"Failure is my greatest fear. Yours is probably heights or spiders or some silly shit."
These flawed and biased services will still rank your average tu commit higher than most Sumlin commits. The Burton's and Ketchums will always champion Mack despite the results on the field. Sure Hampton will shoot up the rankings and pass any of our hand picked backers.
It's got to be a kick in the nuts to Mack when a kid says, "well, I'd really rather go to A&M but they won't let me. So, I guess I'll commit to Texas but it's not what I want...."
These recruiting "analysts" who consistently overrank Texas's commits are not doing Mack Brown any favors. They force up fan and media expectations to unrealistic levels, inviting later disappointment and external criticism. I understand they do it for pure commercial reasons, but it's Texas that suffers from their falsified evaluations. Burton is driven by his own selfish pecuniary motivations of course. Ketchum is probably just stupid.

Like Johnny Manziel? "HAHAHHAHAA"

Yes like Johnny Manziel. Only thing different is Sumlin knows how to evaluate and Mack doesn't so his scraps include: Johnny, Robert Griffin, Von Miller - would you like me to continue?
Agree with Ham 100% here. If you ask me, the sips landed a 2nd tier linebacker in Hampton. Not saying he wont be a heck of a player yet solid 3* recruit.
This staff has shown they can go to another state and pull guys. I'm sure we can find other Hamptonesque players if needed.
Again, Hampton is a solid player and good pick up for the horns (they needed a guy like this to help make it look like the bleeding has stopped - sorry, it hasn't). Sumlin and staff are bettet talent evaluators than Mack and Manny Yards Diaz...
Doubt Hampton wins a heisman for you sippers, but if he does, feel free to come holler at me.
Except that Manziel won a heisman and Hampton won't amount to squat.
More like Peter Jinkens. Remember him? Tried to commit to A&M and kept getting turned down. Gets run over all the time at Texas now?
Hampton may not be as good as Walker or Scott, but the kid has a great offer list this early. Texas, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma...even we offered before we filled up. Pretty legit.
Absolutely need to get Zach. There's no excuse now to not land the top talent in our own state.
“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
Please stop saying this.
They play different positions.
We got our top two OLBs. We didn't feel we needed a 3rd. We currently lead for our top inside guy.
Win we shall, yes we can, yes we will.
