Just seems to me that 247 is hell bent on making sure they are in the top 10.... See, I didnt complain one bit about how our guys are ranked:-)
They are higher in the composite ranking than the 247 ranking, so not sure where you are getting that.
^ glad you bring that up. Scout and rivals have them #17 and #15 respectively. So, I'm not sure how that computes. Yet I guess we can both play the game...

ESPN is in the composition
Remember that the team composite uses the individual players composite with the 247 team ranking formula. Their composite is higher because other sites have their players rated higher even if they're lower on the team rankings due to different formulas (their team ranking is hurt on rivals due to size of their recruiting class whereas here it's not).

I've said this before, but with it being close to NSD I'll recap it quick. The Composite team rankings aren't based on a composite of team rankings for other sites. So let's say that Team A is ranked 1, 5, 5, and 9 respectively, an average of that would clearly give the team a ranking of five, but that's not what the Composite team ranking is.
It's the player values generated by the 247Composite, then run through our formula for team rankings (this can be found by clicking the "i" logo on the team rankings page.)
That's why we have the 247Composite Team Rankings, which are based on the 247Composite, but we also list what the teams would be ranked just on our "in house" rankings.
Team rankings from other sites don't matter at all, just their player ratings do.

As EnglishAg points out, based on our rankings, Texas would be ranked 11th, but based on their player values from the other sites factored into the 247Composite, they're ranked 10th.
and Perroni does the composite. So
57% of statistics are made up.
not worried about how high they are ranked.
other than the OL (Perkins, James, Harrison), and Robinson on the DL.
I wouldn't trade a single Aggie for any of the rest of those guys.
Raulerson - nope
Oliver - bwhahahaha
D. Davis - maybe
A. Davis - nope
Huhn - uhh, hell no
Swoopes - I think the recruiting world finally figured out how big of a farce this guy is compared to his ranking.
Hughes - nope
Warrick - nope
and the list goes on.....
I think the Cobra has a firm handle on the state right now. Not going to sweat the small stuff considering how the ranking have been such a crap shoot for their program the last 5-6 years.
The composite rankings include Scout and are thus not worth looking at. I just stick to the 247 rankings and ignore the rest. All the best national recruiting guys are here anyway, except for maybe Mike Farrell.
Not sure why anyone cares.
