I've only met one person who likes them. Some old crazy dude that I met in palacios that got bit 7 times once so now he's immune to them. He plays with them just because nothing happens when he gets bitten. He's either full of shit, crazy, or both. And I know he was definitely crazy

I stepped right over one sitting in a stream bed about about 6:30 in the morning on one of our kayak trips while I was walking to check a couple of drop lines. Was only wearing boxers and my nuts were straight above it's "ready to strike" head. Probably the most scared I've ever been in the wild. Thank God the snake decided to retreat, because my two legs were literally straddling it, and there was no possible way I could move without aggitating it more.
