Oh and cameron, please compare our defensive recruiting efforts to the rest of the country, specifically the SEC. You'll see very quickly that we are above average for the country and around average for SEC standards. Honestly, that's about where we should be. Heck, one could argue that we shouldn't even be able to recruit average defensively for SEC standards based on our performance lately. I don't know about you, but I'll take 2 studs(Golden and Davis) and 2 solid players(Huggins and Wiggins) 10 months before signing day. In your little fantasy world, you've built that up as somehow being bad. In reality, it's pretty solid.

As for the comment about Chevis and Mastro not being committed yet, are you paying attention at all? Taylor has explained why many times. They are practically silent commits at this point, well at least chevis.

Honestly, with our offense, an average SEC defense should be able to net us 8-10 wins a year. Do that for a couple of years, then you can expect to recruit better defensively and compete for championships. I don't know why anyone would think that would happen right away. Personally, I see no problem with where things are headed. Seems to be about exactly what I expected. Actually better with the offensive class we are pulling in.

We were also missing 2 key defensive players in that LT game. We just don't have the depth to make up for losses like that.

Look, Jones will get his yards, but he'll also make 2 or 3 boneheaded mistakes. We've had a knack for capitalizing on those kinds of mistakes. If our offense does its thing, they won't be able to keep up.
