So if I head on down to A&M's campus and barrel through a red light into a crosswalk with students crossing, I can ask a policeman to give them jaywalking tickets for crossing in front of my car?
The bus had a red light. The kid had the permission to cross. The kid crossed in a crosswalk. This is not jaywalking in any shape or form.
And to make it clear, I think these kids are dorks for doing this whole foam sword thing. I thought the video was hilarious and had no intention of ever sticking up for that guy. Should the kid have looked both ways before crossing? Absolutely. But for a bus to run a red light where hundreds of students cross every cycle is absurd and I will lay the blame on his foot 100% of the time. And I guarantee had this happened on any other campus, most of you would agree. But as it stands, you get to laugh at that dumbass t-sip so it must be his fault.
