Draft Thoughts

  • Jags swap 7th to 5th for a 4th rounder? Are you kidding me Tampa Bay?

Tampa Bay, Morris Claiborne is worth more than Barron and a 4th. Barron's a in the box safety.

Rams, you are sitting at 6, you trade the best graded guy at any position in Morris Claiborne to the Boys (14) for a 2nd. Not an extra 4th, but just a 2nd and you miss out on one of the 6 stud players in the draft.
Great trade by the boys. yeah, you give up a 2nd who they were going to draft a rush lb. Well, you Franchised spencer. now you have 3 pure corners that can play man. you have 2 good ilb's with lee and Dan Connor. You have the 3rd and 4th to get depth in front 7 and depth at off lne and then round it off. The class is really already successful if the Free Agency is good.

Miami getting Tanney at 8. I like it. He'll be a lot more ready to playat Miami than RG3 at Wash.

KC Chiefs, #11 Dont Powe. They wanted a nt and he's got lots of measurables but he wasn't that good on tape if even fair and that's at Memphils. I think he can be a solid dude but with Melvin Ingram there to rush the passer or trading down and picking up a extra pick. This was a big reach. Not digging it

Fletcher Cox. one of my favorite picks in the draft. Best pass rushing dt. They gave up a 4th rounder to move up 3 or 4 spots when they were going to offer a 2nd earlier they got a heckuva player.

Arizona, got a good rec and it will make Larry Fitz better. But man, they need a pass rusher and a tackle to block and they could have traded down. I guess they want to see if Kolb can do it or not (he won't) and they will have to trade to get one next year. no #2, it's risky..

Rams, Mike Brockers. Good player, but would rather have Claiborne vs Brockers and a #2. Now F Cox and a #2, yes or Mike Floyd and a #2. This makes Eagles trade so much better.

Seattle15, Bruce Irvin? okay, I do believe the Texans were going to take him and h's fast. Great upside, but very risky and has a rap sheet But here's the deal, he's a 3-4 olb, not a 4-3 de which surprizes me Peter C? Trade down from 12 for a 4? Man, I guess they got their guy. I think Fletcher was a lot safer pick than Irvin and a 4.

Q Couples jets. unless they are moving to a 403. I just have a hard time seeing him as a rush lb but a 5 tech. Great great upside but Melvin INgram was so perfect for your system.

Chicago, Shea McLlennin Boise. Shea's 6'3 263. HE's a rush lb, not a 4-3 wde. Why you taking him Lovie? 2ndly, he's got good tape, but Whitley Mercilous, Cordy Glenn(your off line sucked), and Chandler Jones? But here's the deal, Shea's had 3 concussions. 3.... Risky

Titans, K Wright. you can draft a slot in the 2nd or 3rd round all day long. You need guards, you need cb's, you need dl. Probably one of my worst picks in thedraft. But I appreciate it Bud Adams

Cleveland, B Weedon, or R Reiff at RT to go with Joe Thomas. Easy decision. wait, go with the 29 year old who's only played in a spread. Weedon's not a franchise qb that's 28. He's a 2nd round qb that wll be 29. Get a horse rb, get the 2nd tackle and run that ball then draft a burner in the 2nd to go ove the top (S Hill).

Detroit got a steal. Reiff is a better rt and reminds me of their guy Backus for years but this will allow them to play him at a tackle with Backus (maybe a 2nd tackle) and protect Stafford. get a cb and a rb and one more off line.

Texans, W Mercilous. A grade. only not A+ because probably a tad better with hand onground but this kid has length, production, speed, and can turn the corner. The Texans wanted Irvin who the Seahawks took. Irvin has more pure speed and upside, but Mercilous is safer, less off the field issues, bigger, and was more productive and I think he's younger so it worked out great.

Bengals Zig Ziegler. Safe pick. Will be a good drive blocker. Boring. Don't take guards when you have one pure rec or you can draft a stud front 7 pass rusher. Would have had a hard time passing one of the rec's likeRandle or Jeffery or Devon Still to go with Geno.

San Fran, AJ Jenkins. Kid ran a hnd time 4.39 official was ike 4.43. 6'.05 and can play slot or front side. Good pick, but not sure he's better than what they passed.

I don't like either rb pick. Too high.

Vikes picking a cover 2safety Well, Harrison can be a cover 2 safety with his size, speed, and hitting. But he cn't cover. to me they should have waited or draft a receiver to help out ponder. With Percy and with AD, Stephen Hill would have been a great play action deep ball guy.

  • Still can't believe jerruh showed some balls. My wife thinks I've lost my mind with the way I was carrying on.

Boys have two 4th picks. I'd like them to take a couple OLs and a DL

I saw the take but pictured him with a cigarette hanging out the side of his mouth, typing on a typewriter, and wearing one of those clear green plastic visors

I Think he uses one of those speak and type headsets and just doesn't correct most of it

Your logic is boggling my mind

  • Why did the Browns move up from 4 to 3 if they knew Minnesota was going with Kalil? Sounds like somebody else was in negotiations with Minnesota to steal Richardson from the Browns. Minnesota tells the Browns about the offer, and the Browns sweeten the deal. Great strategy by Minnesota. They get their guy plus several more draft picks.
