Obviously basketball is my favorite event, but after that I have a hard time getting behind a lot of the sports in the summer Olympics. Diving would probably be my second favorite to watch only because I can't imagine jumping off of the platform, and if I did doing anything but the standard "leg flail" jump.
I hate how many swimming events there are, it has to be the only thing in the entire world where there are medals for doing something less efficiently. Is there some sort of benefit to breaststroke, butterfly, or backstroke swimming?
