The chicken at laynes is drier and the sauce isn't as good. Their fries are better though and the price is better.

Canes has better sauce, chicken, and toast. Also their lemonade and sweet tea is the bomb.

They serve chicken and waffles.

That's all I need to know.

It's a matter of opinion. I like layne's chicken better, their toast better, their sauce better, their fries better. And it's cheaper

I'm very...very close to the owner of Laynes and his wife. Will actually be in CS visiting with them at some point this weekend.
