Governor Perry to obama

I wish there was a way to have your 247 display the liberals next to their names so we can ignore their thoughts on how to ruin our country

I'll tell you a better way to ruin our country: by being in an echo chamber.

That's what most Americans have become used to by only listening to those they already agree with. Which is why we're going down the path of ruin...we're talking past each other, and the politicos and uber rich are enjoying the entertainment at our (the dwindling American middle class) expense.

I agree with this to an extent. I would rather give up my VA insurance than obamacare be implemented.

    Really?
I'm against Obamacare too and would rather it not be implemented, but for a different reason. It's a mongrel child that isn't going to do enough to fix anything and will permanently give a bad name to a cause that should be dear to all Americans and gets majority "yes" in poll after poll but far too many moneyed interests in D.C. have bought off the decisionmakers.

50% of those people not just including African but also Hispanic and white are jobless because they are just plain lazy! They do not want to work! People cry cuz they don't have jobs but Texas for example is filled with jobs especially because of the oilfield boom!!

health insurance shouldn't be attached as a job benefit anyway.

It's a burden on American companies to have to pay for their employees' insurance, which in any case has a disparate cost structure in various parts of America-- thus making America less attractive for job creation compared to other countries.

I agree, I see it doing nothing more than increasing handouts. I think we should let insurance companies cross state lines in order to create more of a free market system.

  • I'm white and my parents had jobs growing up and we couldn't afford health insurance. My parents probably just would have let us die rather than take any kind of government handouts though. After all, rather than take our pets to the vet we just shot them if they had anything wrong. That was a lot cheaper. Luckily for me and my siblings they never had to make that choice with us.

Fvck you, we aren't implementing your healthcare.

You owe me a paragraph (or smallish blurb) on overhauling the system, good sir! biggrin

J/k you're a busy man now that you're married, but all the same i'd love to hear some opinions from fellow Ags about the current Medicaid system.

  • Health insurance is not a burden on employers. It is a benefit used to entice the best, most qualified talent to join their ranks. It has become a "norm" because our workforce has become more educated and competent, thus making them more valuable and necessAry for their employers continued existence and profit.

The idea that you are entitled to any service that another person provides is asinine. Inalienable rights are not goods or services, but rather moral tenures that should be held and valued by any decent human being.

Additionally, healthcare is not a right, it is a privilege. It is a privilege for a person to goto school in order to practice medicine as a career and it is a privilege for a person to recieve care from that person who has worked extrememly hard to be in that position.

Also, to be sure, if you look at overall federal funding, Texas gets more federal funds flowing into the state than it sends to D.C., meaning taxpayers from other states often pick up the tab for Texas. Now with this Medicaid federal matching funds potentially going away, that equation might change.

So much bullshit, Texas has been a net tax payer for as long as I can remember.

Texans only get 94% of what they give to the Federal Government back.

  • All the Obamacare lovers don't get it -- that foolhardy law is going to bankrupt the country and when it does, we won't have healthcare, we won't have social security, we won't have medicare, we won't have national defense, we won't have law and order, we won't have a country. But none of that will matter because we will have Obamacare -- yay!!

May all those who voted for that pathetic law rot in hell!

We'll pick up our guns and fight before that happens. And I have faith Texas will declare secession before the country fails
