In what way do you folks think this hurts A&M in a real way. Sure, ketch, burton...etc are biased. I don't think I've ever encountered a college sports forum where the opperators weren't biased in favor of that college/team.

They talk about this stuff on the radio and high school coaches and players definitely pay attention to it. I know because my friends that are high school coaches read all of these sites. Even though he's completely full of shit and about as credible as Geof Ketchum, Bobby Burton is a recognized name in the industry and if he writes something, it will be noticed.

It's complete bullshit for The Ostrich to write a story like this with heavy insinuations of cheating and then throw the, "I don't have proof though" as some sort of release from liability if he's proven wrong. If we lose 1 recruit because their parents read this drivel, A&M should absolutely take actions against Bobby Burton.

As a lurker who came here because I enjoyed Taylor's info on Websider, I too am trying to determine if Taylor's information is worth doing anything that remotely benefits Bobby Burton. I left Rivals long ago because of these same issues. 247 is starting to pickup where Rivals left off. Not sure I can support this site much longer. No offense to Taylor or Aubrey. I understand that you can't really fire back at your boss. This is probably one reason Hop told Taylor to watch who you crawl in bed with, i.e. Bobby Burton!!!!

It's unfortunate, but Taylor and Aubrey have been cut off at the knees by their employer. I'll wait a bit for the apology, but I won't be associated with this network if it doesn't come.

If Burton was just a mod for the tu site that would be a different story. He owns this site, and is spewing "gut feel" rumors pointed directly at A&M. I'll hold him and his company accountable.

Here is what Bobby posted in the thread. Sorry guys, but if Bobby doesn't stop being a little bitch, I'm done with 247sports. I can handle a Ketch or Gerry posting crap like this, but not one of the founders of 247sports.

A&M was friendly with Will Lyles while Dennis Franchione was the head coach. Not sure how you can say it any differently than that.

Lyles was, according to a former A&M assistant coach, "welcome around the facility" and was there "all the time".

"People didn't question Will being there," the coach said. "He was just part of it. He was welcome."

Lyles, according to this same assistant coach, also personally brought Patrick Peterson in for an unofficial visit to A&M. To be clear, I am not saying that A&M coordinated the visit, which is an important distinction, just that Lyles personally brought Peterson to A&M.

Did Lyles do anything illegal? Again, I'm not saying that because I'm not an NCAA expert. However, I definitely think it's rare for the same person to bring Lache Seastrunk and Patrick Peterson, who grew up a thousand miles apart, to any campus.
