IF Brandon can play and IF trey is third behind him and Christine and IF the majority of touches will be shared by the top two backs, then he should be redshirted. No need to play him if Brandon and Christine get 90+% of the touches at rb. This assumes everyone stays healthy and that trey is behind the other two. A whole lot of ifs though

I don't think we should or will redshirt him. And I hope he comes in an blows everybody away. But 10 plays a game is real, IMHO.

Exactly, I hope BWill gets qualifies so we can spare him in some kickoff returns about about 10 touches a game, but if BWill doesn't qualify, he will have to fill a much larger role and would likely not be a return man

The only question that needs to be asked when considering a redshirt for any player is "can he help you win this year?" If the answer is yes, you play him

This thread is one more reason why Benny has to be a troll. Even if BWill is cleared there's no question.

There is no shame in a redshirt. If he doesn't contribute with any major significance I say mothball the kid, develop him and pair him with a great tudor. Lord knows we'll need him after cmike.

The good news is we'll know the tailback stack rankings in about 6 weeks.

Let's not forget the impetus here is more about Brandon Williams not so much Trey. I love Trey's game. Maybe I did a bad job making my point.
