Maybe he thinks he can come here and be a badass for a couple years and learn under the cobra tree. Retain as much knowledge as possible and be the new head coach at Indiana when it comes available in the near future.

recruiting is about hard work and determinaton. those are assets that go a long way to making a successful college coach. sumlin will not deviat from this as long as he is a college coach

I like it, based on his profile from Indiana's athletics site. Sounds like a football-knowing sonofabitch. Like that he's been Recruiting Coordinator and also coached DL and ST. Looks and sounds like a guy who I do not want to eff up if he's my position coach....

A potential additional plus in the hire is if we happen to face tOSU or UM or some other BIG "power" sometime in the near future.
