Depends on what kind of HC job he wants to wait for. Does he want to be a coordinator until a big job opens up or will go be a HC at a smaller school and then try to make the jump to a big school? I think we have him for at least 3 years. He's still very young.

As long as he doesn't end up sucking I think we can keep him for a good while, like 5 years or so, he is still too young to be a head coach for a while, he's a Texas boy, makin bank at a&m as an OC, livin the single life. Only reason he leaves early is if he sucks and sumlin has to fire him to keep his job or gets in trouble for messing with college chicks. But that could also keep him here longer.

IF he does good (don't just give it to him already, he hasn't even coached a scrimmage), we need to pony up and pay him to where he won't leave unless a major school comes calling. We're playing in the big leagues with big boy money now

Agreed. It's funny that we think he's the next coming because we've watched a couple of videos on him. His offense could get hammered in the SEC and then he is the next QB coach for the school of the deaf and the blind.
I don't think that will happen, but it's threads like this that make us look delusional. Already wondering how long we'll keep a coach before he has coached his first game as an OC.
