Maybe posting's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest.
The true test of a man's intelligence is how much he agrees with you.
I've always found the acumen of Horns in judging recruits to be somewhere slightly above a pair of sharted underwear, this reality has always been somewhat surprising to me.
Reading their comments shows yet once again the levels of their cluelessness in that area. This class is classic OU 2000-2010 thus far, (as was last years but small), not the "same ole", think what you want to with that. But I guess when you're dumb as shit in this area you need "stars" to tell you what & how to think.

Here's the four major recruiting services & how many "4/5 stars" each say we currently have:
Which averages out to 10 current 4/5 stars between the four services.

I just checked Texas' 4 stars for the major 4 sites:
247 - 10
ESPN - 12
Scout - 11 (one of those a 5*)
Rivals - 10 (one of those a 5*)
Keep in mind that Texas has 14 commits
Hamm and I talked about this Sun and I'm going to gives some of my thoughts. I do study recruits but I am privy to media pass and can talk to them. I do just like I did in business, I try to get a feel for the person I'm dealing with, essentially profile them. In the case of theses players, I will rank them for intangibles and 1 varible I use is what the player does for when the game is on the line. It's just like baseball, for my 3 and 4 hitters the most important stat to me is % with runners in scoring position. Well, I agree on K Hill simply because I have seen him take over a game in the 4th Q and was unstoppable more than once. However, in the case of Samples, until he plays thru the season uninjured and can display the cutting, route-running, and change of direction, I personally, knowing how tough ankles are to rehabilitate, couldn't raise his rating.
I bleed maroon KoolAid, but I also try to be objective and I'm pretty tough on ratings, so this year will be the tale of the tape. At the end of this next football year, there can be reasons for rerating and I assure you if some who deserve an elevation in ranking aren't reevaluated I'll be screaming from the rafters.
