So it's ridiculously early and there isn't that much data out there, but that's never stopped me before, so let's give this is a shot. I don't really understand why people started saying "power rankings" instead of just rankings but I'm going to use it to mean that these are, in order, the teams that accomplished the most so far this season. So, this doesn't mean that these are necessarily in the order of how good I think they are, just what they've done so far.
- Kansas State - The Jayhawks knocked off a ranked Virginia Tech team with relative ease.
- Texas A&M - The Aggies won a road game, which nobody else has done yet, so I'm going to slot them in the second slot.
- Baylor - the Bears have won two games without LaceDarius Dunn, including one over a pesky La Salle team that wouldn't go away.
- Kansas - The Jayhawks have obliterated their first two opponents.
- Texas - The Longhorns crushed their first two opponents, and could jump all the way to #2 in this if they beat Illinois Thursday.
- Iowa State - So far so good for "The Mayor" in Ames, but the Cyclones have a big (and awkward) matchup with Creighton in a week.
- Oklahoma State - The Cowboys won their only contest so far against Houston Baptist.
- Nebraska- The Cornhuskers battled the whole way against South Dakota.
- Oklahoma - The Sooners just barely survived a crippling loss to North Carolina Central.
- Missouri - The Tigers haven't even taken the floor yet, so they go below the teams with wins, and ahead of the teams with losses.
- Colorado - Colorado went down on the road at Georgia. Not a horrible loss, but still a loss.
- Texas Tech - The Raiders lost at North Texas, prompting a court rush of the Super Pit and earning them 12th place in the rankings.
