Need Some Vegas Bachelor Party Advice

  • I'm the best man in a wedding this summer and the bachelor party is the last weekend of this month. I've never stayed in Vegas, but my buddy who's getting married has many times. He wanted to stay at the Golden Nugget so I already have the hotel booked. My questions are:

    1) What are some good recommendations for quality golf courses that will be easy/close to get to and from (and of course that we can drink plenty of beer on & not have to worry too much about the course marshal)? I would prefer to play at a course that is as nice as possible and as inexpensive as possible because I've already had to buy both our plane tickets and hotel rooms plus do all the other stuff that ensures the groom doesn't pay for anything. We plan on playing golf on Friday and Saturday morning and there will be a group of about 8.

    2) I need to reserve part of a club for the Saturday afternoon/evening and would prefer to find a kick-ass place (or 2) that has booze bought in advance? I don't know if Rehab would be good for this or not?

We are all in our late 20's/early 30's and any good advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Why the Golden Nugget? So far from everything.

Definitely do a day at the pool. Rehab will be crazy, but very expensive to reserve a cabana. Any of the pools at the big casinos will be crowded so call around and find the best deal.

I have no insight on clubs or golf courses.

  • Haha I asked the same thing on the Golden Nugget, but it's his bachelor party so I told him I would make it happen. I just inquired online about reserving a cabana at Rehab, but don't really know what to expect price-wise.

  • I can figure the clubs/nightlife out, but would really appreciate somebody to recommend the golf course...

  • Tryst is the Wynn is high quality. I think we paid around $3000 for a reserved cabana and bottle service.

  • 1. Golf course recommendations- Las Vegas National and Desert Pines are the 2 closest golf courses to the Nugget. I would go to Las Vegas National and buy beer at the bar before you start.

    2. Most of the big hotels on the strip have some kind of dayclub & pool party similar to Rehab. Rehab is a Sunday event at the Hard Rock Hotel. Mandalay Bay, Wynn, Venetian are pretty good from what I hear. The Golden Nugget has a newly remodeled pool area and an adult pool called Hideaway. Cabanas are available for rent.

  • I love the nugget .... Hit the strip and come back and gamble late night at the nugget or binions. My buddy got married in Vegas and we did the b-party 2 nights before the wedding. Sat down with my buddy and our close friends at a black jack table for 4 hours, drank scotch and bullshitted. Good times. Any gentlmen clubs in the mix? How many are going to this event?

  • I know this doesn't help you because I don't know the course names, but I always hear about golf in Vegas where you get a sweet thang in a short skirt as your caddy. They like to tee your balls up for you in more ways than one.

  • Thanks for everyone's advice. I ended up booking tee times at Las Vegas National Golf Club for both Friday and Saturday morning.

There will be a total of 6 of us going and I'm still trying to get a cabana w/ bottle service at one of the Hard Rock pools on Saturday afternoon.

Tryst is probably going to be the club I book for the finale on Saturday night.

AggieGrad98, how many were in your group when you booked for the bottle service at Tryst? Just wondering if I should expect $3K for a group of 6 or not.
