  • My other thread had Hillary blood streaming on it. Give me some recs for some good semis, without a political argument. All I want to hear is which gun shoots the furthest, the fastest, the biggest, etc

  • I'd like to shoot a .50 BMG

  • If you want an affordable gun and one where you could spend more on scopes, lasers, and lights, I would highly recommend the S&W M&P 15 sport. I have one and have had no problems what so ever. It feeds flawlessly an shoot great. It's lacks a few things that the more expensive ones have, such as, a dust cover which I haven't found to be necessary, forward assist which I also haven't found necessary web after 1000 rounds of alcheap ammo, it also has a melonite barrel which is suppose to be as durable as chrome but I can't say for sure. If you want to know anything else regarding my experience with this weapon be sure to ask. I also just purchased a green laser and will be using it soon so I'll let y'all know how that goes.

any of those will do you justice. Dont shoot the wolf ammo in a lesser made gun. its not good for it. I personally dont prefer lasers as what you will see is that when you start using lasers your shooting mechanics start to become sloppy and break down and you will end up with more misses.I use an Aim Point but lots of people enjoy the EO Tech and Trijicon makes some good optics as well.

My goal is to get the trijicon ACOG but they are expensive especially considering I am a college student.

  • Aim point T1 is bad ass. If you're looking to shoot long distance the leupold mark ar is not bad for the money.

I agree with this. I'm not a huge fan of Rock River though I know a lot of people are. I would add the following brands to that lists.

    LWRC
    LMT
    Spikes Tactical
    Wilson Combat

You should look into a trigger upgrade. One of the best things I did. Go with a Giessele or a Timney trigger. Magpul UBR stock is a good one.

Denver shooting suspect James Holmes purchased some 6,000 rounds of ammunition over the internet before carrying out hismassacre at a midnight screening of Batman.

The ammunition was part of a massive arsenal he gathered in the run-up to the killings, which also included four guns legally purchased at local gun shops.

His weapons were two Glock pistols, a 12-guage shotgun, and a high-powered AR-15 assault rifle fitted with a drum magazine allowing a fire rate of 50 to 60 rounds per minute.

Dan Oates, the chief of police in Aurora, Colorado, where Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58 others, said: ’He purchased four guns at local gun shops and through the internet he purchased over 6,000 rounds of ammunition, more than 3,000 rounds of 0.223 ammunition for the assault rifle, 3,000 rounds of 0.40 caliber ammunition for the two Glocks in his possession, and 300 rounds for the 12 gauge shotgun.

“Also through the internet he purchased multiple magazines for the 0.223 caliber assault rifle including one 100-round drum magazine which was recovered from the scene.

“Even if it was semi-automatic I’m told by experts that with that drum magazine he could have got off 50 to 60 rounds within a minute. As far as we know it was a pretty rapid pace of fire in the theatre.

“My understanding is that all the weapons he possessed, he possessed legally and all the clips that he possessed, he possessed legally and all the ammunition he possessed, he possessed legally.”

  • James Holmes is a looney, who would have killed people in other fashions if he hadn't had guns available. Prisoners have ZERO weapons and somehow they create shanks that can kill people, choke people with a bed sheets etc etc.

If he hadn't tipped off the police that his apartment was rigged, he could have killed many, many more folks completely illegally.

Honestly, America is one of the safest countries in the world. The fact that this kind of thing is extremely rare just proves it.

This guy was a nut and he cracked. If the guns hadn't been available, he'd have been throwing improvised gernades or molotov cocktails into the theater.

Can you imagine what wold have happened if he led with burning gasoline at the exit doors? He would have killed them all. And guns (legal or otherwise) wouldn't have been a factor.

    Wait, it is..

We need to outlaw drugs because it causes so much crime and make it against the law.

    Wait, it is..

You just made the opposite argument you intended. Of course we shouldn't legalize murder, an no rational person would suggest it. You only legalize behavior that you want.

Obviously you missed his point.....and based on your response it wasn't close either.

I loved Obama's speech in New Orleans this week and how ignorant liberals and progressives (who obviously have never legally purchase a firearm) soaked it up.

“But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals — that they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities.”

“I believe the majority of gun owners would agree that we should do everything possible to prevent criminals and fugitives from purchasing weapons; that we should check someone’s criminal record before they can check out a gun seller; that a mentally unbalanced individual should not be able to get his hands on a gun so easily. These steps shouldn’t be controversial. They should be common sense.“

I don't think any rational person would like criminals to own AKs or want them on the streets of our cities (obviously he meant being used in the streets of our cities). His second point is idiotic. Criminals and fugitives can't legal purchase firearms; they'd fail the screen. People diagnosed or treated for mental illness aren't permitted to purchase a firearm, although it's self reported. Everything he's saying has already been enacted, it just needs to be enforced.
