OOS Recruiting

Taylor, it seems we have put a pretty good effort into OOS recruiting this year particularly in CA and FL.
Which OOS recruits do we have the best chance at landing?
Which OOS recruits are we recruiting the hardest?
Are most of these offers just a quick offer to a great player or are we consistently recruiting them? I know a few we are.

I bet we wont get one kid from out of state not including juco and Louisiana.
California and Florida is a waste if time attention and efforts.

I seriously doubt it affects us in the least with a single in state recruit, so therefore it is not a waste of time.

Usually I would agree. But with the assistants we have now I'm hoping that will change. I think we can get a couple kids per year. Not any OOS five stars but some good recruits. Snyder should have good contacts in FL. Yates and Polian should be able to pull a kid or 2 from CA.

Wade and Points signaled the coaches weren't willing to wait on OOS guys, whether they are a long shot or not

About half of the top 50 kids in Florida leave every year. And they aren't all headed to top programs and garden spots (unless you count the Garden State).
We need to continue to build relationships here imo.

Exactly... We need the best 25 guys every yr no matter where they come from. Landing a 3* kid from major HS in FL, GA, LA opens the door to land a 4* guy down the line. It also gives you options. Most players will be from TX, but getting 2-4 from LA and 1-2 from either CA, FL, or GA shouldn't be a stretch. It also makes those in-state schools cover their home base and not venture into TX as much
