Land Prevot, Chevis, and get a good shot at Mo Smith/Lacouture and we are holding our own against LSU (coming off a NC appearance).

OU got Keith Ford so far in this class, which is a pretty big pickup.

We have 4 commits that have OU offers (Griffin, Golden, LQ, and Gustaf).

They have offers out to 9 uncommitted Texas prospects right now, and overall 22 overall. Definitely seems like a smaller number than usual.

Ford was determined to go OOS though

Probably because he didn't have a program to go to in Texas. He wants to play in a pro-style offense. Right off the bat that eliminates A&M. Texas has 3 really good, really young RBs in front of him. Tech - no. Baylor - no. TCU? Maybe, but he probably wanted to go to a bigger program. That leaves teams like OU, LSU, and Bama that are close to Texas.

Seems like they are making a concerted effort not to rely on Texas the last 2 years. Might they still be making plans to make an exit to the Pac-12? This might be their experiment to see if they can survive without Texas being their main source of players.

Or maybe not.

It's hard to say. We didn't kill it in DFW last yr until Beatty was brought in. the sips cleaned up dfw while we loaded up in Houston. I think the long term question is if we continue to dominate the other half of the DFW blue chips they are used to getting will that have long term damage to their success. Us locking down Houston could kill okie lite unless they move to a different recruiting ground

Talent in houston is down this year.

Just to put in a little perspective, Matt Davis and Ifedi were the ones I have seen that were not comitted to us from Houston at this point last year. I know we all want results now, but we are like 10 days into spring practice and if we get Chevis and even Prevot in a longer shot and another Houston commit sometime this spring we will be saying he is doing a good job. Tie that with Houston being down on talent and I just love the fact that we are going strong after DFW recruits.
