I wish they would allow schools to not have an interdivisional rival if they do not want one. Now that everyone will have 6 divisional games a year instead of 5, it really reduces the number of non-divisional matchups if every school must declare an interdivisional rival. For example, assuming UT and Bama keep playing every year, you guys will only play UT once every 6 years, which means you only see them at your place every 12 years. I hear there is no way they move to 9 SEC games a year; they are sticking with 8. Moving to 9 games would allow the interdivisional game to remain, and every school would play at least once every three years. If things stay as they are now, a 4 or even 5 year student will not play every school in their own conference during an entire tenure. That seems like a problem.
