Also, we know the sound quality isn't perfect, but we were set up to make sure we could be heard inside. This may be something we do in the fall, and I've already got some ideas on how to improve it.

Sound on chucks mic was spotty. Did he say that we won six straight after stopping the 6:00am workouts after game 6 in 2010? And that we didn't stop the 6a workouts until around the Kansas game (#11) in 2011.

Not sure what he said because I haven't watched yet but that is true

As I've said many times, Sherman is a great coach but treated it way too much like the nfl. 6 am practices aren't bad for an nfl team whose players don't have class all day and another practice in the afternoon. He is a good nfl coach or position coach. But as a college head coach he treats it too much like pro ball

I would say mentally just as much as physically. You have to motivate college players, they aren't getting paid. Gotta give them a reason to like football more than drinking and chasing tail like every other college student

I think the quickest, easiest way to nail down the reasoning for failure of the Sherman tenure is, "he tried running a college football program too much like a NFL franchise"
you could apply that to a lot of different things & aspects of the football program but ulitimately that's what it boils down to

so thats why they whip their butts now so they are already in shape. Correct me if I am wrong or if you have opinions shermanager but it seems like even after the first comeback loss, especially after the second in a row to Arkansas, it would be even harder to motivate kids and keep their focus at 6am practices after a draining weekend. Would imagine it would harder as last season went on and winning some big games early like Florida or something could be big as far as keeping motivation and wanting to keep working at it and leave the chasing tail to later.
