The fact that this topic is even being discussed yet filibustered just shows how crazy our gov't has become.
Hello 5th amendment?
So Liberals are willing to get terrorists from foreign countries and bring them to the US and try them Federal Court instead of a military court. But some in our gov't (hello Liberals, this is your baby right here) aren't willing to give our own citizens the same courtesy guaranteed by the Constitution. Shameful.
rlag09, discuss if you wanna discuss. It's the entitlement age we live in where people feel incapable of NOT clicking on something they don't want to discuss and then commenting about how they don't want to discuss it instead of just moving on with their day. It's actually a big deal that this is even needing to take place, but most people would rather stick their head in the sand on Obama and Holder and call it a day.

where was this guy and others like him during the patriot act debate.?take the most extreme action the government could take and throw it out there as a red herring rather than going back in and installing the rights we all lost from the Patriot Act. maybe he should consider what really is likely to impact american citizens more. also do we want the government to not try to stop the terrrorists if they are american or otherwise from killing hundreds or thousands by any means possible? This after the long debate about torture. This is about Obama and nothing else. This would not be an issue if there were a republican president.

small difference between listening in on a conversation and shooting a missile off a drone through your window without due process. I don't like either of them.
The Founding Fathers would string the current politicians up by the their toes and take target practice. Read the Constitution and then read the garbage that comes out of Washington, it's just depressing. Can you imagine Madison or Franklin saying we have to pass the bill to find out what's in the bill?
You're right this is about Obama b/c he's the damn president. Who else are we to blame for his policies? I blame Bush for his idiot policies too.
The American people need to wake the F up, realize that the very fabric of this nation is being removed one strand at a time, and hold our politicians accountable.
