There's already too many law schools in Texas. No need for UNT AND TWU/TAMU in North Texas.
But hey, why the hell not.
Besides, it reconfirmed Jay's commitment.

How does the Aggie ring work with deals like this? Would someone who graduated from the law school once it's affiliated with A&M be eligible for the aggie ring?

BOR is kicking around a dollar threshold spent to get a ring. Last I heard, $70k was the number they were looking at. Two years of law school or 4 years of undergrad plus a Masters+ at A&M should get you the ring. I got two degrees from A&M, so I should be all set - and am a better Aggie than those who only have an undergrad. I think this makes a lot of sense and represents a very positive cultural shift in College Station.

I'm going to venture a guess that it would qualify. It is officially branded as TAMU School of Law, and other grad programs grant eligibility (not to mention, every other school that has a law school does this).

I know grad-only people can get aggie rings so I would assume a law student would.

I was going to apply to U of H and SMU until I heard about this. It looks like I have a good shot at being apart of the inaugural class for the TAMU School of Law.
