It's A&M's first bye week of the season, but for their biggest player, it's been his time in the spotlight. Manziel talks about bowls, the Heisman and representing Texas A&M.

Its beautiful , is it not?
JFF has earned the and deserves the Heisman but I am getting the feeling that there may be a last minute shift to teo as he is being heavily promoted by espn and other media outlets. On the sportscenter hightlights show the talking head stated he was voting for the LB then was followed by a segment of the ND-UK game where teo, who was in attendance, was shown no less than 3 times mugging it up for the camera. I am beginning to think that the domers or espn gang has hired a PR agent for him.
Teo is nothing more than a MVP of an undefeated team just as Klein was a couple of weeks ago. Espn has thrown a ton of names out there ever since Klein fell from grace to see which one will stick. Teo is the latest to keep a freshman from getting the award.
" Manziel is “a good kid, an honest kid. He has his heart in the right place.”
Chancellor, Texas A&M
To me, if they never intend to give the Heisman to any freshman, then it should be a written policy and freshmen never even considered or mentioned for the award. However, that is not, at this time, the case. The award is for the BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. It's not for a good defensive player on a #1 team. It's not for a "body of work" over 2 or 3 years. It is for the BEST player out there. Like it or not, that player is Johnny Football Manziel. If he does not win the Heisman, then it has no future meaning and becomes a worthless, popularity trophy. It shouldn't matter if you are 19 or 22, the award should simply be given to the BEST player for the year.
