Hamm, I think you said in another thread that there was 1 spot for Mastro and Mitchell. Does that spot include Savage? Or are there 2 spots for the 3? Or are they mutually exclusive?

Like Hardreck Walker's comment more than any of them.

Gotta imagine that the first of Mastro, Mitchell, and Savage to commit gets the spot.

Also, as per the 2013 kids - sometimes it's hard to sway views that might have been planted there for quite some times. With that said, maybe we can get a couple of the kids that are truly on the fence.

I believe this win will do more for us with the 2014 class than the 2013 (yet both classes will get a huge surge due to it).

Lastly, as per Mitchell and Ohio State - so Ohio State is NOT recruiting any linebackers in this class eh? Well, that would tell me they have SO MANY FRIGGIN LINEBACKERS ON CAMPUS ALREADY... That's why you don't recruit a position - is because you already have tons of talent at the position already!!!!!! Can't blame the kid for checking out all of his options etc.

Anyway, positive news on all accounts and i'm excited to see who the "big time" talented player will be (my guess is A'Shawn Robinson)...

Very interesting on Mastro, but understandable. I would think he would commit to ensure a spot and maybe persuade Mitchell away, but then again if Mitchell ends up at A&M, Mastro would be out of luck and have to go crawling back to OU. We get one of the two IMO knowing that.

Any guesses on the visitor? I say that WR Williams, but he isn't really that under the radar I guess, but who knows.

scoop you couldn't be more right when you said that perspective is totally different from a fan's and recruit's POV. We know what the potential about our program and how these talented kids can excel in it...to them it's a lifetime decision which will have immeasurable impact....they just want to make sure they get it right without regret. I am sure that once the shoe drops they will make the right choice.

Thinking they might wind up on a MNC is key and with each win and press coverage of that win is key. Our recruiting staff's job has been made a lot easier and they are holding out that gold ring to these guys. As long as the decision has been made difficult or tight then we have put ourselves in a good position.

Here is to JFF making himself a legend and the press eating it up. He is becoming a household name and even those who have no interest in football, like my wife, want to know more about him and see him play. This is a good thing because its making him a media darling which will draw these kids to what is going on down there in Aggieland. It worked for Auburn and chizck with newton for a couple of years but we all know he is no coach and now that shine is wearing off. All we need to do now is capitalize off of our success and close the deal and I honestly believe that our staff has the firepower to do just that....

Now if other programs are writing big checks that might be another factor we have no control over...and we know that is happening
