yeah as for rankings I believe TJ is the highest I can remember...I'm 35 and have been following A&M recruiting since my mid teens...he's the highest I can remember in my short 20 years.

I pray that TJ can duplicate what Ferguson did at A&M...easily the best WR at A&M even though his time was short. He'd own every receiver record if he played 4 years like Fuller in Sherman's O....It wouldn't be close either.

I think Fergie came from Trinity Valley (Henderson Co.) JUCO. May be wrong but I think that's right.
As far as signing the top rated receiver in the state, I would say TJ is the first. Not saying there weren't others who panned out, just not the tops at signing time as per rivals' gurus.

The question was 'highest rated'. And yes, the next would be Percy Waddle from Columbus (I think). Dude was tops in the state and top 3 nationally.

Tmurph is the one who had to retire because of his neck. Ferguson just flamed out.

I been following this since the mid 80s and TJ is the highest regarded wide receiver we have signed including Ferguson and Albert Connell who were both highly rated but from jucos. You would have to go all the way back to Percy Waddle to find someone close. My things are changing around here....
