I heard it was a pretty good deal for high school coaches to go to. A&M should do this to help develop good relationships with high school coaches.
went to it back in the day before 911 and my military stint. Gene Stallings was the guest speaker and it was pretty good from a coaching perspective. You do learn some things but it's a whole lot of elbow rubbing/story telling.
not sure if A&M did one or not that year b/c I'd already decided to go into the military and they usually happen in the spring. the THSCA convention is pretty cool too. Usually have sessions to go learn different schemes/etc. from HS/college staffs and then lots of elbow rubbing/beer drinking and other stuff like sports sales going on. pretty cool to be around.

fbratag - So you know...A&M, Texas and others have been putting these on for years. I have family members that are in coaching that have been attending since RC days.
Its smart for college coaches to build relationships with high school coaches. Its also good to pass down their coaching techniques and what they stress...in hopes the high school coaches are doing the same thing with their kids.

This is the flyer. Clearly I was pleased to see #6 make the photo.
