Athletically, certainly. Not for the university itself though.

It'd be hard to beat Rudder, but some amazing things are happening under his tenure. Just in the past year: Bio Defense Center, SEC, huge academic progress for most of our colleges, possibly a law school... exciting times for sure.

Still Rudder though. Without him, none of what's happening now would be possible.

And the new 2.0 billion dollar CDC research center - Bloom you're crazy. If Loftin can pull of a law School as well - then both athletically and academically.

I love Gates, but how is Loftin not ahead of him?

If he pulls off the law school, he's the best since Rudder, no doubt.

He could very well be one of the most influential ever if all of these things workout. But he's not working alone, having an Aggie governor helps.

Aubrey's point is valid, without Rudder NONE of this happens.
