Well whatever it is I hope Sumlin doesn't accept offers from guys that won't qualify come feb 1st, especially since signing non qualifiers still counts against your 25. He will need all the available slots for this class, especially if some studs want to join late. I keep running out of people that I want when narrowing it down. Want 4 JUCO's with an OL, LB, DT, and DT/DE. I don't really care what we finish with with the rest of the high school spots, just get some studs.

I realize that's more than 8 but we won't get everyone so as many from that list as possible to make me happy.

You do know in the SEC there is a firm 25 limit?

As long as we get 6 early enrollees they can count toward the 6 spots short of 25 for 2012.

I think the SEC says max 28 with EEs. We may end up with more as a hedge against grade risks.

I think the key is the 2012 class was still under big 12 rules so we can sign 31 as long as 6 are EE's to count backwards to 2012 class. That's what I seem to draw from Taylor and others and being the rule. I also think I heard that the guys that sign on Feb 1st count towards your 25 even if they dont make grades in June to finish, aka you lose that spot for that year. I don't think we have had concrete answers but that is the best I have gathered so far from others. We need those last three spots for late studs this year

But only 25 in 2014 right? We can't count back 3 and take 28 in 2014 even with EE's because we will be taking a full class this year
